Territorial Army Recruitment 2024 has invited application for the recruitment of 209 Soldier (Clerk), Soldier (GD) & Soldier (Tradesman) Posts under 166 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) (Home and Hearth) Assam. Interested and eligible candidates may appear in the recruitment rally as per the schedule mentioned below.
Territorial Army Recruitment 2024:
1. Soldier (GD)
No of posts: 165 posts
Educational Qualification: Class 10th pass with 45% in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
2. Soldier (Clerk)
No of posts: 4 posts
Educational Qualification:
i) House Keeper & Mess Keeper: Class 8th pass with minimum 33% in each subject.
ii) Other trades: Class 10th pass with minimum 33% in each subject.
3. Soldier (Tradesman)
No of posts: 40 posts

- Hair Dresser
- Chef
- Cook Mess
- Chef Special
- Equipment Repairer
- Artisan Wood Work
- Artisan Metallurgy
- House Keeper
- Washerman
- Masalchi
- Steward
Educational Qualification: 10+2 pass with any stream with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in Class 12th is mandatory.
Other Criteria of Territorial Army Recruitment:
Age Limit: Candidates' age must be 18 to 42 years.
Physical Standard:
Height: 160 cms (157 cms in case of Domicile of Eastern states and hill regions of West Bengal i.e., Darjeeling & Kalimpong districts)
Weight: Minimum 50 kgs.
Chest: 82 cms (77 cms unexpanded)
Selection Process of Territorial Army Recruitment:
The selection process of Territorial Army consists of following stages:
a) Physical Fitness Tests
- 01 Mile Run, Pull Ups, Balance & 9 Feet Ditch
- Trade Test for Tradesman
b) Medical Test

Date of Physical Test: 12th November 2024 to 26th November 2024
Documents Required:
Candidates should bring in original along with two photocopies of each of the following :-
(a) Birth certificate issued by Registrar of Births and Deaths or 10" Class Board certificate showing Date of Birth.
(b) Education certificate with Mark Sheet including Board certificate in original.
(c) Domicile certificate with photograph issued by Tehsildar/ District Magistrate.
(d) 20 copies of good quality passport six coloured photographs.
(e) PAN card and Aadhar Card.
(f) Cast/ Tribe/ Community certificate affixed with photograph of the candidate issued by the Tehsildar/ Sub Divisional Magistrate/ District Magistrate.
(g) Religion certificate to be issued by the Tehsildar/ SDM (if religion as "SIKH/ HINDU/ MUSLIM/ CHRISTIAN” is not mentioned in the caste certificate).
(h) Character certificate with photograph issued by Village Sarpanch/ Municipal Corporation/ SHO/ Head of Educational Institute within last six months.
(j) Married/ unmarried certificates issued by Village Sarpanch/ Municipal Corporation within last six months.
(k) Relationship certificates who are son of serving soldier/ son of ex-servicemen/ son of war widow are required to produce relationship certificate issued by Record Office.
- A declaration in Affidavit on Ten Rupees Non-Judicial Stamp paper prepared by ESM duly signed by 1st Class/ Executive/ Judicial Magistrate.
- Original Discharge Book of ex-servicemen with Name and Date of Birth recorded in it.
(j) Sports certificates issued by National/ State Sports Authorities or Government bodies of particular sport (International/ Senior/ Junior National/ Khelo India Games/ State level upto 4” position in team/ State School team).
