Eligibility Criteria of AAU Jorhat Admission
Undergraduate Degree Programmes:
Age Limit: A candidate for undergraduate degree programme shall be at least 16 years of age as on 01-09-2024 (i.e. must have been born before 01-09-2008) for all the programmes other than B.V.Sc & A.H.
Educational Qualification:
i) B.Sc.(Hons) Agriculture: PCB/PCAg with 50% marks In aggregate for Gen/OBC/UPS category & 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST/DAC category in 10+2/Higher Secondary/Intermediate examination.
ii) B.Sc.(Hons) Horticulture/ B.Sc.(Hons) Sericulture: PCB/PCAg with 50% marks in aggregate for Gen/OBC/UPS category & 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST/DAC category in 10+2/Higher Secondary/Intermediate examination.
iii) B.Sc.(Hons) Community Science/ B.Sc.(Hons) Food Nutrition and Dietetics: PCB/PCAg./PCHSc. with 50 % marks for Gen/OBC/UPS category (40% for SC/ST/DAC in aggregate) in 10+2 examination /Higher Secondary/Intermediate examination.
iv) B.F.Sc.: PCB/PCAg with 50% marks for Gen/OBC/UPS category & 40 % for SC/ST/DACcategory in 10+2/Higher Secondary/Intermediate examination.
v) B.V.Sc. & A.H.: BCPE with 50% marks in Aggregate for Gen/OBC/UPS (47.5% for SC/ST/DAC in aggregate) in 10+2 examination/ Higher Secondary/ Intermediate examination.

Application Fee: Rs 1200/- has to be paid as application fee by all candidates.
How to Apply for AAU Jorhat Admission ?
All the candidates want to pursue a career in the field of Agriculture have to submit online application. Interested and eligible female candidates may submit their online applications here for these courses by following below mentioned steps.

b) Click on the "Online Application Form" and complete the registration process.
c) In the next stage, click on "Online Application Form" Link and Login.
d) Fill your all personal and educational details and upload necessary documents.
e) Make payment of application fee as per your category and submit the form.
f) At the end, take a print out of the application form.

Selection Process of AAU Admission
Selection of candidates for admission into all Undergraduate degree programmes of the University shall be based on the performance at the Common Entrance Test 2024 to be conducted centrally by AAU. 10+2 passed students from science stream, having the certificate of Permanent Residence of Assam and NER (for HFC seats) only should apply for the test.
The students appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to sit in the Common Entrance test 2024, but shall have to pass 10+2 exam before the date of admission. The wards of defence/para-military personnel posted in the State of Assam for at least one year are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Test, 2024.
About AAU, Jorhat
Assam Agricultural University Established on April 1, 1969 with its Headquarters at Jorhat, Assam Agricultural University (AAU) is the first institution of its kind in the whole North-Eastern Region of India. The base of this institution comprised the erstwhile Assam Agricultural College at Jorhat and the Assam Veterinary College at Khanapara, Guwahati. Subsequently, seven more colleges, namely the College of Community Science at Jorhat, the College of Fisheries at Raha, the Biswanath College of Agriculture at Biswanath Chariali, the Sarat Chandra Singha College of Agriculture at Rangamati, Chapar, the Lakhimpur College of Veterinary Science at Joyhing, North Lakhimpur, the College of Horticulture at Nalbari and the College of Sericulture at Titabar were established at different point of time under the AAU.
The main goal of this institution is to produce globally competitive human resources in farm sector and to carry out research in both conventional and frontier areas for production optimization as well as to disseminate the generated technologies as public good for benefiting the food growers/produces and traders involved in the sector while emphasizing on sustainability, equity and overall food security at household level.
