Assam Veterinary Recruitment 2025 Apply for 445 VFA Vacancies

Assam Veterinary: Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Assam has invited application for the recruitment of 445 Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) vacancy under the Directorate of A.H. & Vety, Deptt. Assam, Guwahati-3. 

Name of post: Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA)

Scale of Pay: Selected candidates will receive a salary in Pay Band-2, ranging from ₹14,000/- to ₹70,000/-, along with a Grade Pay of ₹6,200/- and other allowances as per government norms.

Age Limit: A Candidate should not be less than 18 years as on 01/01/2022 and more than 40 years of age as on 01/01/2025 as per Govt. Office Memorandum No. ABP.6/2016/51 dated 2nd September, 2020.

 

Age Relaxation: Permissible relaxations in upper age limit for different categories are as under:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed HSSLC (Science) with Biology as one of the subjects. Additionally, they must have completed a one-year certificate course in Elementary Knowledge of Veterinary Science from a recognized school of the School of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, established by the Government of Assam at Ghungoor, Silchar.

Physical Standard:  Candidates applying for direct recruitment to the Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) cadre must be in sound health, both mentally and physically, and should be free from any organic defects or bodily infirmities that may interfere with the efficient performance of their duties. Before appointment, candidates will be required to undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the necessary health standards.

 

a) The intending candidates may apply in standard form as per part IX of the Assam Gazette for application along with testimonials and a self-addressed envelope affixing stamp of Rs. 5/- for communication. The duly filled in Application should be addressed to the Director, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Assam, Chenikuthi, Guwahati-781003 and be submitted physically in the Drop Box during office hours on or before 18th March, 2025 (5.00 PM) at the Directorate or by Registered Post.

b) Applicants must affix 1 (One) copy of recent photograph on the space provided in the application form firmly with good quality glue/adhesive and also should enclose another copy along with the application. The Photograph must be signed prominently.

c) Since the practice of furnishing attested copies of Certificates/marks sheets etc. by competent authority has been discontinued by the Govt., the applicant shall furnish copies of Certificates/mark sheets etc. declared by himself/herself as certified to be true copy of the Original along with the application.
