The Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG) - 2024] is an all-India test conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to various Undergraduate Programmes in Central Universities under Ministry of Education, and other participating Universities / Institutions / Organizations / Autonomous Colleges.

CUET 2023 Notification

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the Universities. A single Examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities.

For the Academic Session 2024-2025, CUET (UG) – 2024 will be conducted on 15th May 2024 onwards. This article helps all aspirants to know all details of CUET.

Eligibility Criteria of CUET Exam


Age Limit: For appearing in the CUET (UG) - 2024, there is no age limit for the candidates.

Educational Qualification: The candidates who have passed the class 12 /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2024 irrespective of their age can appear in CUET (UG) - 2024 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University / Institution / Organization in which they are desirous of taking admission.

Examination Fee of CUET


For CUET (UG) – 2024, fees will be charged based on the number of subjects chosen by the candidates. The following fee structure is applicable for CUET (UG) - 2024:

How to Apply for CUET ?


Interested and eligible candidates may apply online for CUET Exam by visiting at official online portal of NTA CUET. They may follow below mentioned steps.

a) Scroll down, go to Important Web-Links section.

b) Click on Online Application Form link.

c) A new webpage will be opened.

d) Enter all your personal and educational details as required.

e) Upload your passport sized photograph and signature and other required documents.

f) Pay the application fee as per your category and at the end click on submit button. 

g) Don't forget to take a print of submitted application form. 

Important Dates of CUET 2024 Exam


 Starting date of submission of online application: 27th February 2024
 Last date of submission of online application: 26th March 2024
 Issue of admit cards online: Second week of the May 2024
 Date for CUET 2024 examination: Between 15th May 2024 and 31st May 2024
 Declaration of Result on the NTA website: 30th June 2024

Scheme of CUET Examination


Name of exam: CUET (UG) - 2024

Total subjects: 61 (33 languages, 27 domain-specific, and 01 General Test)

Choice of Test Paper: Maximum 06 Test papers (04 or 05 domain subjects including General Test and 01 or 02 languages). Candidates may choose a maximum 06 Subjects including languages (Indian and Foreign) and General Test

Note: It is advisable for candidates to select at least one language.

Medium of the Test: 13 languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu)

Total Questions: 40 out of 50 questions for all test papers and 50 out of 60 for the General Test (choice of 10 questions). Duration for all test papers would be 45 minutes except for Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Accountancy, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Computer Science/Informatics Practices, and General Tests which would be 60 minutes.

Syllabus of CUET Exam

 
Language: Language to be tested through Reading Comprehension (based on different types of passages–Factual, Literary and Narrative, and Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary.

Domain Subject: As given on NTA website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in.

General Test: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts Arithmetic / Algebra / Geometry / Mensuration / Statistics), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
