Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) has invited application for admission into GNM courses in GNM Training Schools under the Govt. of Assam for the session 2024-2025. For this purpose, an entrance examination - GNM Entrance Examination (GNMEE), 2024 will be conducted. Eligibility Criteria of Assam GNM Admission


Citizenship: Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for GNMEE 2024.

Residentship: Candidates must be a permanent resident of Assam and must submit a certificate in this regard.

Exception of PRC Certificate: The provision of Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) shall not be applicable to the wife/ daughter of the employees of Govt. of Assam.

Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 17 years old by 31st December 2024, and the maximum age for admission is 35 years. There is no age limit for ANM/LHV.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess any one of the following educational qualifications to be eligible for GNM admission:

i) 10+2 class passed preferably Science (PCB) and English with an aggregate of 40% marks.

ii) 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Sciences, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/ English Elective or Health Care Science – Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognize Board under AISSCE/ CBSE/ ICSE/ SSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.

iii) 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent Board from the school and recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks.

iv) Registered as ANM with the State Nursing Registration Council.

Application Fee of SSUHS GNM Admission


Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable examination fee of Rs.1500/- if they belong to the General category and Rs.1200/- if they belong to SC/ST/EWS/OBC/MOBC categories, including Tai Ahom, Koch Rajbongshi, Moran, Matak, Chutia communities, and TGL/Ex-TGL category.

Payment Method: Candidates can pay their examination fee through an online payment gateway. Candidates should have any one of the following options to make the online payment – ​​Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or UPI.

Date of exam: 14th July 2024 (Sunday)

Timing of exam: 10 AM to 1 PM

Duration of exam: 3 Hours

Type of questions: Multiple Choice Questions

No of MCQs: 100 MCQs
 
Total marks: 100 Marks (1 mark for each correct answer).

Negative marking: There will be no negative marking.

Medium of exam: The question paper will be both in English and Assamese language.

Exam centres: Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Barpeta, Tezpur and Diphu.
