1. Principal
No of posts: 07
Educational Qualification:
a) Master’s Degree in Arts /Science/Commerce from recognized University with minimum 55% of marks.
b) B.Ed degree from a recognized University
c)Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in any Government / Semi Government / Government recognized / Private reputed CBSE/SEBA affiliated Senior Secondary (10+2) School / College including JNV/KV.
d) Good communication skills in English, Hindi and local vernacular language.
e) Good interpersonal skills, management & leadership quality,administrative ability & integrity, and computer proficiency.
2. Post Graduate Teacher
No of posts: 15 posts
Educational Qualification:
i) Post Graduate Teacher (Arts):
a) Post Graduate Degree in Arts from a recognized University with minimum 55% of marks in both Graduation and Post Graduation in the respective subject and
b) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
ii) Post Graduate Teacher (Science):
a) Post Graduate Degree in Science from a recognized University with minimum 55% of marks in both Graduation and Post Graduation in the respective subject and
b) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
The candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent Examination with English as the medium of instruction.
3. Graduate Teacher
No of posts: 51 posts
Educational Qualification:
i)Graduate Teacher (Arts):
a) A Graduate in Arts with Major (Honours) from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks and
b) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
ii) Graduate Teacher (Science):
c) A Graduate in Science with Major (Honours) from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks and
d) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
The candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent Examination with English as the medium of instruction.
iii) Graduate Teacher (Hindi):
a) Pravin/ Ratna in Hindi with 55% marks and degree qualification with 55% marks or post Graduate degree in Arts with 55% marks with Pravin/ Ratna in Hindi with 55% marks from any recognized University,
Or
BA with 55% marks and having Hindi as one of the subjects with 55% marks or post Graduate in Arts with 55% marks provided that he has passed BA with one of the subjects as Hindi with 55% marks in Hindi
b) B.Ed. degree from any recognized University (PARANGAT to be treated as B.Ed. degree only for the purpose of Hindi teaching).
4. Assistant Teacher
No of posts: 30 posts
Educational Qualification:
i) Assistant Teacher (Arts):
a) A Graduate in Arts from recognized University with a minimum 55% marks and
b) Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
ii) Assistant Teacher (Science):
a) A Graduate in Science from recognized University with a minimum 55% marks and
b) Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
The candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent Examination with English as the medium of instruction.
Other Criteria of AVS Recruitment
Residentship: Candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Age Limit: A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 45 years as on 1st January, 2023.
Application Fee: The application fee for each posts are as mentioned below.
- Principal: Rs. 500.00
- Post Graduate Teacher: Rs. 350.00
- Graduate Teacher: Rs. 200.00
- Assistant Teacher: Rs. 150.00
