Gauhati University PG Admission
Gauhati University has released the official notification of Post Graduate Entrance Test (DUPGET) 2024 for the admission into various Post Graduate Programmes conducted by Dibrugarh University and its Affiliated and autonomous colleges. Interested and eligible candidates wish to study in any PG courses under Dibrugarh University must appear in this PG entrance test mandatorily .
These courses include Master’s in Arts (MA), Master’s in Science (MSc), Master’s in Commerce (MCom) and M.Ed. under Dibrugarh University. Candidates passed/ appeared/ appearing 6th semester BA, BSc, BCom, etc examinations can now submit their application though online portal for this entrance examination

Eligibility Criteria for GU PG Admission
Eligibility criteria for admission in to various master degree courses under Dibrugarh University are as follows:
Master of Arts (MA) Course:
a) Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Honours in the concerned subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point. OR
b) Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject applied for admission and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point. Candidates who passed the qualifying examination in CBCS must have studied minimum 24 Credits in the subject applied for admission.
Master of Science (MSc) Course:
a) Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Honours in the concerned subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point. OR
b) Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject applied for admission and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point. Candidates who passed the qualifying examination in CBCS must have studied minimum 24 Credits in the subject applied for admission.
Master of Commerce (MCom) Course:
a) Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Honours in the concerned subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point. OR
b) Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject applied for admission and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point. Candidates who passed the qualifying examination in CBCS must have studied minimum 24 Credits in the subject applied for admission.

Note:
i)Candidates appeared/ appearing in the 6th Semester B.A., B.Sc., B. Com Examinations, 2024 and waiting for their results are eligible to appear in the DUPGET 2024 and can get provisional admission if selected.
ii) Candidates appeared/ appearing in the Final Semester Examinations and waiting for results but have backlog in 2nd and/ or 4th Semester Examinations are also eligible to appear in the DUPGET 2024 and can get provisional admission if selected.
Application Fee of GU PG Admission 2024
The applicants shall be required to pay the Application Fee of Rs. 950/- only through the online payment gateway by using Debit (ATM) Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking during the submission of form. No other mode of payment is accepted.

GU PG Common Entrance Test
There will be a Common Entrance Test for admission into different Post Graduate Courses to be conducted by Gauhati University (both for the University Departments and the Affiliated Colleges of the University) for the session 2024-2025.
